Book Harvest: June 2017
Yes, I know it’s technically July now but it’s fine! Leave me alone.
No don’t actually! I need attention.
I was planning on doing a massive blog about all the books I’ve taken from the library to “aid” my project but the number’s getting a bit ridiculous so I’m not sure that’s going to happen. I’m at 35 and counting. They’re shutting the library down I’m not just a crazy book hoarder. Well I am… but this is my ideal excuse to be even more surrounded by books.
So I thought I’d just haul the ones that I’ve actually purchased. And it’s pretty small. There’s only 3. It was independent bookshop week last week and I’m lucky enough to live in a place where the only two bookshops in town are independent. I really love this shop. Especially in summer when Falmouth can go crazy with tourists and crazy people. The Falmouth Bookseller is a haven. Check it out: The Falmouth Bookseller
So the books!
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll the V&A William Morris Collection.
I collect Alice books. And this one is just so pretty!
Ballad Tales edited by Kevan Manwaring. This caught my eye because I don’t have enough books about folk tales, fairy stories and mythologies. I thought it would be a good one to dip in and out of.
And finally. I couldn’t leave without a special 20 Years of Harry Potter Gryffindor edition of the Philosopher’s Stone. I enjoyed reading Harry Potter I really did. But for me it was missing something and I didn’t know what until I opened this book and saw a map! A freaking map of Hogwarts.
So that’s my tiny haul for the month.
Thanks for reading!
