Poetry: She Keeps Me There

Dec 10, 2013
I dance on the blade of the sword
It’s not that I want to be there,
but that I must.
She drives me this way and that,
across boundaries unspoken,
through a life too heavily examined.
If I were to fall I would not bare the burden of the world,
but I would be one of the problems..
I might be glum sometimes
And I might complain of jade,
but I will not let the world fall from my shoulders.
I cannot fall from my blade.
